Decommissioning and/or demolition of old industrial complexes can often uncover hazardous substances previously employed in the original construction. To deal with hazardous waste issues and demolition, GAIA has coupled its expertise with engineering support from Golder to undertake numerous such site rehabilitation projects.

Typically providing turnkey services, the GAIA-Golder team can effectively identify, quantify and classify waste materials, and implement strategies to manage or abate the contain-ment, be it asbestos, lead or PCB’s either within occupied buildings, structures slated for demolition or impacted sites earmarked for (re)development.
